Did I mention supermarket roses in the last post? Well, here they are. With some evergreens from the garden and a touch of gold they look pretty decent!
Ok, honestly thist wreath exists because I couldn't wait for the Christmas tree to come into the house. Decorating it was fun and I love the result. A bit overloaded you say? No way, it's the style!
Christmas time is not about spending money buying things nobody needs. It is about holding on and spending quality time with people we care about, about doing special things and showing our love. So my dear and me decided to do slightly different advent calendars. We wrote 24 notes each with things we will do for each other. Here is what calendar I did looks like. And the first note I got said "Whatever you did is right, I apologize for not having noticed it right away!" This means I have an allowance to do something totally girly-unlogical-crazy one time. Ha, I will have to use this chance wisely!
To complete the natural decoration of the entrance posted below I did some really quick and easy decorations for the windows. It takes no more than 5 minutes to make one and would also look great on a gift package.
Whath's the need to be unhappy about an event, which keeps comming back once a year anyway? To distract myself from my own birthday I started decorating the house for Christmas. And it helped! It was like a decoration therapy, I swear. This way I am ready to have birthday even more often! And the best part, I could take all the greens from the garden just as I needed: ivy, cypress, silver fir and the willow to keep them together. And did I stop outside? Of course not! To be continued :)
